Our Drive to Egypt

We stopped at a number of places on our long bus ride to Egypt. This is an overlook of the Kadesh Wilderness, also were Ben-Gurion (1st prime minister of Israel) was buried. It was a beutiful view. Really neat to think that Moses and the Israelites passed through here. We talked a lot about their lack of faith that then put them wondering for 40 years.

We also stopped at Tel Beersheba. This is one of the alters that they found. They told us the story of when people were introuble and would run and hold onto the alter and as long as they were there people could not kill them.

This is teh well that made it possilbe to live in Beersheba. Everything depended on water. Beersheba is where Abraham leaves to sacrifice Isaac. It is also where Jacob's family stayed on their way to Egypt and hears that Joseph is still living. So it was the home of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Marcus is throwing me in the well in this picture.

This is Steven. We are on the top of a tower at Beersheba. He is such a funny guy.

We are overlooking the town of Beersheba and you can se the wilderness in the backround.
